About a year ago, Representative Sanchez was mum on her relationship with her former military escort, turned lobbyist John (Jack) Einwechter. But today Roll Call is reporting (via the OC Register) that the Congresswoman is engaged according to tips received by the Capitol Hill paper. My own sources tell me that the couple became engaged last week, and Einwechter recently assisted the Congresswoman with voter protection in the election last week. I believe that this blog was the first to report the relationship between Sanchez and Einwechter detailing the story of how the two lovebirds met. If they do make it down the aisle, Rep. Sanchez will become the stepmother to eight Einwechter children (Caleb, Rachael, Allison, Priscilla, Jacob, Katie, Tom and Sharon), and we can start calling her octo step-mom. I suspect that since Rep. Sanchez won her most recent and difficult race last week that she and her fiance felt that it was time to be more public with their relationship which allegedly began when both were married.
